Description of hot filler wire welding - i. e. , a new welding technique which makes it possible to increase the deposit efficiency of various arc welding processes with only a slightly increased heat input. Particular attention is given to TIG-hot filler wire welding, submerged arc-hot filler wire welding, and plasma arc-hot filler wire surfacing. Examples illustrating practical applications of this technique are presented.
