摘要
A calculation method for heat exchangers with spray-cooled air is presented. In the present analysis, it is assumed that the flowing air is saturated throughout the heat exchanger, and that the finned tube surfaces are wetted uniformly. Heat transfer rate from finned tubes is calculated by taking into account evaporation from the water film on the tubes. Under suitable spraying conditions, the calculated heat transfer surface area is in good agreement with that of the experimental apparatus, and it is concluded that the present calculation method is applicable to commercial heat exchanger design.
