Irradiation of the amorphous band in a magnetic field by fast neutrons using doses up to 6. 7 multiplied by 10**1**6 cm** minus **2 at 150 degree C increases substantially B//r vertical B//8 and reduces H//c as compared to conventional thermomagnetic treatment. The observed effect has been attributed to irradiation enhanced microdiffusion.
