摘要
We discuss the main properties and methods for force-free magnetic field research, e.g. in plasma physics when studying various force-free electric discharges or long solenoids with a force-free winding and no external unloading conductors. Attention is paid mainly to analytic methods of investigation in developing the theory of force-free current configurations. New results touch upon how to describe a force-free magnetic field by scalar potentials.
