A method is proposed for temperature measurement without disconnecting the short-circuit on secondary windings but approaching them electrically through an appropriate inductive coupling (instrument transformer). This method still refers to the necessity of measuring the temperature reached by the ″copper″ during the short-circuit test. The difficulties encountered in practically carrying out the measurement are discussed.
