Bradan Dam, together with the smaller Lure Dam, has been constructed on behalf of the Ayrshire and Bute Water Board to increase tenfold the capacity of Loch Bradan reservoir in South Ayrshire. The dam described is a mass concrete gravity structure 438 m long and 30 m high.
