摘要
As is known, the batch and dense foam retard heat radiation from the flame. Therefore, the length of the melting zone determines the temperature of the molten glass in the melting basin and consequently the output of the furnace. In connection with this, the need arose to study the general regularities of the process of fining the molten glass in tank furnaces. The investigation is carried out on eight sheet glass furnaces differing in the level of temperatures and character of the distribution of the heat loads over their length.
