Effect of alternating electric current on the precipitation of carbon in α-Fe

This paper measures electrical resistance in situ at aging temperatures using resistometry and compares the isothermal aging curves with and without current stress. Meanwhile, isochronal aging curves are used to clarify the relationship between aging temperature and current frequency over a wide temperature range. Moreover, the sample resistance is measured at 77.4K after interrupting annealing for 30 minutes at various aging temperatures to detect the effect of current stress on aging process more sensitively. The isochronal curves thus obtained by power aging under various frequencies are compared with isothermal aging curve without current stress.
