摘要
STN ATLAS Marine Electronics has developed a new generation of shaft alternator systems which offer an economical and environmentally friendly means of generating electrical power on ships. The increased electrical power generation is sufficient for the electrical requirements of new generation container carriers. The new systems are available in the power range 4,000-10,000kW and voltage range 3-10kV. They feature frequency converters in high voltage technology, no supply transformer, improved efficiency, and reduced weight. This article outlines their operation and advantages focusing active power, short circuit protection, reactive power, harmonics, parallel operations, and man-machinery interfaces.
