The Scribophone permits hand-written texts or drawings to be transmitted over voice channels, e. g. telephone lines, simulatneous with telephone conversations. Scribophone stations consist of writing tablets and display screens of the TV type. The system is described. Applications include teaching over great distances, communication between deaf people and even quantitative angiography.
