The Sturgeon Lake Area Metavolcanic-Metasedimentary Belt in Ontario, Canada; internal felsic, intermediate and alkalic intrusion; and adjacent granitic rocks contain deposits of zinc, copper, lead, silver, gold, molybdenum, iron, and fluorite. A series of detailed mapping projects were initiated to provide a more effective base for determining the mineral potential of this region and for guiding exploration. this report presents a compilation of these detailed projects and regional synthesis and interpretation of the entire area.
