摘要
Anomalies are observed in the current-voltage characteristics of plane-symmetric diodes with thermocathodes from transition-metal monocrystals at temperatures T greater than THETA //t//e, where THETA //t//e is the characteristic temperature of thermal emission. The authors study the temperature dependences of the emission currents in the range DELTA T which includes THETA //t//e, for the (100) surfaces of tungsten, and the (110) surfaces of niobium. For T equals THETA //t//e, the Richardson line for the (100) surface of tungsten has a discontinuity, and the Richardson emission parameters increase discontinuously. The effective work function increases. For the (110) surface of a niobium single crystal, the Richardson parameters remain constant.
