Strengthening of radiatiative heat transfer in cylinderical pipe heating furnace by porous medium

Based on the principle of the effective energy conversion from flowing gas enthalpy to thermal radiation emitted from the permeable porous medium, radiative heat transfer is strengthened in cylinderical pipe heating furnace by permeable porous medium, therefore the temperature inside furnace is risen and the temperature of flue gas is dropped. This experiment on model furnace, internal diameter is 400 mm, presents the temperature inside furnace is risen around 50 approx. 100 °C and the heat efficiency is risen about 10 percentage. The experiment results agree with analytical prediction guite good.
