摘要
The deformation of polycrystalline titanium carbide was investigated in compression and in three-point bending over the temperature range from 1673 to 2273 K. At moderate temperatures ( less than 2000 K), dislocation movement is controlled by the diffusion of carbon with an activation energy for deformation of 5 eV. At higher temperatures the deformation is controlled by the diffusion of vacancies, with an activation energy of 7 eV.
