摘要
Four alloys were studied: austenitic 321S20 abd 316S16, austenitic-ferritic Ferallium 255, and cast iron S-NiCr20-2 (BS3468). Treatment temperatures in the range 550-850 degree C were investigated with particular reference to the structure, hardness, and thickness of the reacted surface. From this information, a nitriding treatment was selected and applied for wear evaluation. The data are compared with the performance of a commercial nitrided ferritic alloy.
