摘要
The noise level is one of the main qualitative characteristics of magnetic tape recorders. The noise that accompanies the useful signal at the output of the magnetic recording-reproduction channel (modulation noise), is usually divided into two components, namely, contact noise and structural noise. The results of a computer simulation of the instability of the reproduced signal due to nonuniformity in the tape structure are presented. A stochastic model is employed.
