摘要
Ceramics can be comminuted near the tip of the penetrator under high-velocity impact. The comminution of ceramics is considered in this paper and the target is divided into five zones of cavity, comminuted, cracked, elastic, unperturbed one. It is assumed that materials in the comminuted zone obey the unified pressure-shear criterion presented in this paper based on a unified strength theory (UST). Target resistances Rt of A-T model based on static cylindrical expansion theory are obtained. The influences of parameter b of the UST and pressure-shear coefficient β on Rt are discussed. The depth of penetration is calculated using A-T model when tungsten long rod impacting ceramics target at 1.5-4.5 km/s. Results of this model are compared with experimental data and tests of other scholars.
