The effect of vibrations on the wire-drawing stress

The aim of the paper is to investigate the effect of vibrations on the wire-drawing stresses. It is shown that the wire-drawing with vibroloading leads to decreasing the drawing forces. Factors, contributing to this decrease, are investigated. The conclusion is made that using the wire vibration during its drawing decreases the drawing force by 1.1-1.72 times. The optimal amplitude of wire vibrations is in the range of 0.6-1.0 mm.
