摘要
Experimental results are given obtained with a 0. 5 tons/day furnace for direct reduction of iron ores. The small shaft furnace was operated on six occasions continuously for two weeks each. As a result, it was found that productivity of 100 t-Fe/m**2 multiplied by (times) day was feasible. It was also found that the optimum temperatures of reducing gases are from 800 similar 900 degree C, that the optimum content of CO is not more than 30 percent, and that gas utilization is from 30 similar 40 percent.
