Reducing costs, improving health and safety

The efforts to minimise vibration risks in foundries are discussed. A European directive came into force on july 6, 2002 and is expected to become law in 3 years and companies have to step within this period. Vibration white finger is the biggest growing problem amongst operators. New systems are being designed to reduce vibrations during fettling and bringing it within the safety limits.
