摘要
Motors driving sugar centrifuges operate under dynamic load at very high losses of heat which is generated in windings during starting and braking. Their design differs substantially from that of standard induction motors. The motors consist of two electromagnetically independent parts. The high speed part has a cage with separated resistance portion; the low speed part is a small power motor with many poles. The entire system must meet heavy requirements resulting from operating conditions. Associated problems and modern design solutions are discussed.
