摘要
Naturally-cooled high-power cables must be operated appreciably below their natural capacity because of their limited capability for dissipating heat loss. Therefore they operate capacitively. Since consumers often have inductive components, partial compensations take place which affect the transmission capacity. It is shown that in order to assess this transmission capacity the power equations must be used. It is found that high-power cables can bridge greater distances than is generally assumed.
