摘要
The influence of Mg and Si on strength and Kahn tear toughness in Al-Mg-Si alloy extrusions was quantified through a statistically designed experiment. Contour plots representing strength and Kahn tear toughness as a function of Mg and Si have been determined. The composition with the lowest amount of excess Si was shown to provide the best combination of strength and toughness.
