The Zhaogezhuang Coal Mine of China is cited as an example of the influence of a low-quality power supply and low voltage on motors and electrical equipment, the principal cause of the breakdown of fans, pumps, hoisting machines, compressors, conveyors, and their controllers. Measures have been undertaken to regulate the voltage of the power system.
