摘要
These experimental studies were directed toward studying the largest separated region produced. Data were obtained for Reynolds numbers based on the tube diameter and average velocity upstream of the sewing ring (Re//D) of from 50 to almost 10,000. The Reynolds number in vivo in the aortic region varies from zero to a maximum of about Re//D equals 6300. The length and shape of this separated region was determined using two methods of flow visualization.
