摘要:
The drive to move away from made-to-stock and engineer-to-order operations towards make-to-order and assemble-to-order presents very specific challenges to the supporting information technology. Production scheduling in a true make-to-order environment becomes driven by actual contracts, and must support allocation and control of all resources within the organization, and not just the manufacturing resources. This represents a major shift from the traditional manufacturing resource planning model of doing a rough cut capacity plan to determine critical resource.
