摘要
The grain boundary behavior and carbide dissolution of four kinds of ultra-high-strength steel (40SiMnCrNiMoV, 37SiMnCrNiMoV, 45CrMnMoV, and 28Cr3SiNiMoWV) were investigated by using high-temperature microscope HT-100. Results indicate that grains grow in two ways depending on temperature. If the heating temperature is low ( less than 1000 degree C), grains grow by means of grain boundary migration, and the relationship between the migrated distance (s) and the time (t) can be expressed as s equals kt**N. If the steels are heated to a given high temperature, the grains grow suddenly to a very large size. This kind of sudden growth of grains can eliminate impurity segregation at grain boundaries, so that the fracture of the steels is improved.
