摘要
A computerized three-phase quality control system for monitoring and recording laboratory data on children's sleepwear is described. The pass-fail criterion of the DOC standard is followed, except that for all lots tested and reported, the individual specimen data, the sample averages and standard deviations are recorded as well as the overall average and standard deviation for all lots of the particular fabric type and garment style. This combined attributes and variables testing plan, by showing changes in averages or standard deviations on a continuing basis, can be used to signal changes in the makeup or treatment of a fabric. A computerized record keeping system has been developed to establish and maintain a data base of results related to flammability characteristics of fabrics and garments.
