摘要
The author briefly describes how experience with sand cooling by absorptance in an existing foundry resulted in a new approach to inplant environmental control when designing and building a new foundry to replace the old facility. The concept of sand cooling by absorption is explained, along with its benefits which include dust suppresion at a smaller cost, reduced binder costs and elimination of hot sand scrap.
