摘要
The structure and effective properties of equilibrium colloids have been studied using a statistical mechanical approach. Computer simulations have been carried out to determine the aggregation and percolation behavior of a model dispersion of adhesive particles. The results are compared with an approximate analytical theory and with experimental data for water-in-oil microemulsions. Useful physical insights have been obtained into the effect of particle interactions on the percolation threshold and on the interplay between percolation and first-order phase transitions. The conductivity of percolated dispersions is calculated; agreement is found with measurements of microemulsion conductivity.
