摘要
Lockheed Martin has renewed its efforts to enhance the large fleet of P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft that continues to operate around the world. The company's Maritime Systems & Sensors businesses at Eagan and Manassas are collaborating with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and the Lockheed Martin Aircraft & Logistics Centers in Greenville on various upgrade efforts. The phased capability upgrade (PCU) introduces modern mission systems, allowing the Orion to carry additional weapon types such as the AGM-84E surface-launched attack missile (SLAM). Canada is enhancing its CP-140s under the C$75 million Navigation & Flight Instruments Modernization Project, for which CMC Electronics is acting as prime contractor.
