A systematic experimental investigation was made of the heat transfer in the shock interference zone for a laminar air boundary layer at high Mach numbers (15.5). The experiments were conducted over a broad range of variation of the slip angle embracing various types of shock wave interaction. The cylinder had a diameter of d = 25 mm, hemispheric ends of the same diameter, and the total length of 205 mm. The experiments were carried out in a shock tube. Experimental heat transfer data are presented.
