摘要
A Telecom plan is presented that will provide customers in Australia with a mobile telephone service equal to or better in performance, facilities and cost, than any found in other parts of the world. Various system philosophies are outlined which were developed from the need to provide the service required in geographically large Australian capital cities. The special requirements of the customer, the facilities provided, and some features of the common equipment which are unique to a mobile telephone system are discussed. Much of the information on the topic of design of Telecom's new mobile telephone system was written directly into the specifications for the system.
