摘要
The author first discusses the potential of the so-called ″renewable″ energy sources and analyzes what part they play in meeting the U. K. demand for energy. Discussion focuses next on the following renewable source of energy: solar energy, biomass, wave power, wind power, energy from waste, tidal power, and geothermal energy. Finally, some brief comments on the possible role for gas in the longer term are made.
