The precipitation process in a Co-W-Ti alloy was studied by the methods X-ray diffraction and electron transmission microscopy. Homogeneous formation of an intermediate beta prime phase with L1//2 structure was found in the range 500-600 degree . Its presumed composition is Co//3(W, Ti). Its emergence is accompanied by the appearance of superstructure peaks and satellites round the reflections of the cubic matrix ( beta phase) on diffraction patterns. In the process of growth the beta prime phase particles are found to form a periodic modulated structure.
