摘要
The experimental methods used for direct measurement of the drop frequency of the trickling metal in the electroslag remelting process are described. The correlations between drop frequency and technological parameters such as melting rate and solidification rate for remelting high-alloy steel grades were determined. The kinetics of drop formation during remelting, the influence of additions to the slag (Al, Ti) on the drop formation rate of low-alloy and high-alloy steels, and the correlation between drop frequency and geometry of the metal pool are discussed.
