The report provides a summary of research and development work in the field of petrochemistry during the period between the 10th and 11th World Petroleum Congress. The remarks comprise trends in the supply and utilization of raw materials, as well as activities in the production and/or the more efficient use of olefins, of acetylene, of aromatics and of synthesis gas.
