The work hardening characteristics of Cu-Ag and Cu-Si alloys with relatively large concentrations of Ag and Si, respectively, were investigated at various deformation temperatures. At the same time, the activation volume was measured as a function of deformation temperature. The results demonstrate that the activation volume depends only on the slip stress value and not on the concentration of additives.
