Three collector designs are examined. A black painted, nonselective absorber plate with two, low-iron glass covers; a selective, black nickel absorber plate with two, low-iron glass covers, and a selective, black nickel absorber with two, antireflection surface etched low-iron glass covers. The insulated box and assembly configuration are identical for all three designs. The variation of reflectance from a selective coating with the incident flux wavelength is shown.
