STUDY ON WATER HAMMER AND ITS PREVENTION IN WATER SUPPLY PIPING SYSTEM OF BUILDING.

摘要
The paper deals with water hammer of closures. It discusses an analysis of the mechanics describing the phenomenon and studies of methods to prevent water hammer. It was found that water piping which can prevent water hammer consists of one main vertical pipe and some horizontal pipes diverging from the main pipe. The length of piping should be kept to a minimum. Additional study results are reported.
