Quantum corrections for the liquid-gas transition of Lennard-Jones particles in two dimensions

摘要
The behavior of Lennard-Jones system in two dimesions at different reduced masses, was studied. The path integral Monte Carlo method for particles with mass m interacting with Lennard-Jones potentials was used to compute the phase diagram. The liquid-gas coexistence region was computed by the double tangent method to the free energy. It was found that due to the quantum delocalization, the phase transition temperature decreases with smaller particle masses.
