摘要
The spread of optically induced excess carriers in doped semiconductor filaments by external electric and magnetic fields may be calculated on the basis of an eigenfunction representation. The corresponding time-dependent Green's function is given. The strong Suhl effect described by Shockley arises from a negative eigenvalue of the drift diffusion problem. The joint effect of bulk and surface recombination causes the lifetime of the average excess concentration to become time-dependent.
