In the present paper the determination of the zeta potential and the surface conductivity by means of streaming potential and streaming current measurements are described. For that aim a short review about the electrochemical double layer, the electrokinetic phenomena streaming potential and streaming current, and the effect of surface conductivity is given. The description of the newly developed measurement system and the discussion of selected results are further topics.
