Absorption processes that seem most important at present time are first presented: collision absorption, resonant absorption, parametric instabilities. Then percentages of the energy absorbed in well defined experimental conditions and the differences exhibited with the experiments carried out at conditions lambda //o equals 1. 06 mu (Neodym Laser) and at lambda //o equals 10. 6 mu (CO//2 laser) are specified.
