Effect of the 5-azacytidine on the flowering of Arabidopsis thaliana. - Seedlings of Arabidopsis thaliana ecotype Columbia were treated with 5-azacytidine, a potent inhibitor of DNA methylation in vivo, to study if it can induce an earlier flowering of the exposed plantlets. Some preliminary results are presented.
