摘要
A new decomposition scheme is proposed for transient stability studies of multimachine systems, whereby a system is partitioned into interconnected subsystems which may have more than two machines. The scheme can be used to decompose a system into weakly interconnected subsystems which represent groups of tightly coupled machines, a common situation in practice. In this way, the decomposition can be selected, which does the least violence to the system, thus reducing the degree of conservativeness inherent in the stability region computations via the vector Lyapunov functions restricted to pair-wise decompositions of interconnected machines.
