Within the framework of the Agency activities related to the preparation and definition of the Columbus Utilization scenarios, the idea of implementing Automation and Robotics (A&R) systems for the Columbus payload, on-board the pressurized laboratories has emerged. The main aim to be achieved with the A&R implementation on-board the Columbus laboratories is to improve the usage of available resources in the operational scenarios.
