摘要
In Part III, the control aspects of switching are discussed. The evolution from centralised stored program control to devolved and distributed systems is traced. The development of software has presented many problems that are only now becoming fully understood. Part IV considers the application of switching nodes in public and private networks. The introduction of digital techniques and progress in technology have provided opportunities for the development of very powerful information technology networks.
