摘要
Dryer geometry, dryer clothing and blow boxes affect the aerodynamic flow in a paper machine dryer. Laser Doppler velocimetry and computational fluid dynamics provided a study of air flow conditions in critical areas near a paper sheet. New blow box and fabric designs offer better sheet runnability in the dryer section of high-speed paper machines.
