HOLOGRAMMETRIC MODEL: A NEW CONCEPT AND TOOL FOR MAPPING.

The hologrammetric model is shown to be a reproducible image which can be recovered from a single plate, visually perceived in three dimensions, and mapped in a manner similar to the photogrammetric stereomodel. It is holographically recorded either directly from the object or indirectly via overlapping photographs. Using these models, profiles, outlines, cross sections, contours, and complete topographic maps have been plotted and digital mapping has been accomplished. Quantitative results are compared to photogrammetric experience.
